Compsognathus

 

Compsognathus Longipes (elegant jaw and long legs) was a tiny dinosaur. The remains found during the 1850's were less than one meter long and weighted less than four kilos. With extreme agility, compsognathus hunted for small lizards and big insects under the leafy and exuberant plants of the late jurassic.

This piece was originally commisioned by director Miguel Salmon Del Real and premiered with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Michoacán on the 4th of october 2013. Compsognathus was one of the 23 miniatures comissioned for the project.
